Entire neighbourhoods have been reduced to ash, and the cost of this tragedy, estimated at $150 billion, is more than financial. It’s a loss of homes, memories, and a sense of security.
Once seen as a distant threat to forests, wildfires are now at our doorsteps, threatening communities and families in cities like LA. These fires remind us of the urgency to act; not just to fight fires but to prevent them from claiming so much of what we hold dear.
